I did not tell anyone about this, not knowing how it would go, but Gewilli and I got ourselves a couple guest rider spots on some Pro teams for the CSC Invitational. We were obviously very honored to take part, and figured we would just get shelled right away, since we are just a couple of old cross riders.
So, we decided to jump at the gun. Well, who would have thunk it, but it worked! We got a nice gap, and the combination of Gewilli dragging me around the straights, in the trailer, and me back seat driving him thru the corners ended up being the perfect blend of power and technique.
Can you believe we LAPPED the field? I know, crazy. Late in the race, we did like Page and pretended we had a front flat “slow leaker” and headed to the pits. Well, they were so busy telling Page that he did not have a real flat, that was flat ENOUGH, that we were able to unhitch the trailer and get back into the race with a lap off. Poor Page got sent back out a lap down, with a flat tire!
After the breather, Gewilli put in one more huge pull, and I was pretty fresh from spending most of the race fixing the string of LED lights on the trailer, sipping Cytomax. He launched me to the line, where I pedalled a few strokes in anger and crossed the line for the WIN!!!
Amazing, I know. But its true. I even have pictures to prove it!
The CSC guys were pretty stoked for me. Gewilli is just out of the frame, unfortunately, as my 50m kick dropped him like a bag of rocks. He did the pro thing and swung wide into the leadout train along side us, slowing them up and delivering my to the win!
Of course this raises the question, how many rides do I have towards my 40?
LMFAO
Nice bit of work…
I cant see past your ASS!
I’m still wondering how you knew the string of LEDs were busted…
Remind me to get you the other string to fix in the next race.
